Managing director of the Janacek Philharmonic announces audition for
the 2nd oboe player with a duty of English horn
full-time employment
The audition will take place at Janacek Philharmonic headquarters on 22th of May 2024 at 13:30

Salary: 1.090 – 1605 EUR/per month, 13.080 – 19.260 EUR/per year gross pro rata depending on previous experience
Audition conditions:
a) orchestral parts for the 2nd oboe for 1st round:
- A. Dvořák:
– Symphony No. 7
– Violoncello Concerto
– Slavonic Dances No. 2, 5, 15 - J. Brahms: Variations on the theme by Joseph Haydn
- S. Prokofjev: Symphony No. 1 “Classical”
b) orchestral parts for the English horn for 1st round:
- M. de Falla: Suite from El sombrero de tres picos (Three-Cornered Hat) – English horn cadenza
- G. Rossini: William Tell (overture)
c) an obligatory performed composition and orchestral part for the oboe for the 2nd round:
- W. A. Mozart: Oboe Concerto in C major, K.314 – 1., 2. movement (without cadences)
- B. Bartók: The Concert for Orchestra (the part for the 2nd oboe)
d) orchestral parts for the English horn for the 2nd round:
- P. I. Tchaikovsky: Capriccio Italien, op. 45
- A. Dvořák: Symphony No.9, (From the New World)
