Letnia Akademia Muzyczna powołana została w roku 1999 przez ówczesnego Dziekana Akademii Muzycznej w Krakowie prof. dr hab. Andrzeja Pikula, który do tej pory pełni funkcję jej Dyrektora Artystycznego. Celem tego projektu było stworzenie w Krakowie wakacyjnych, muzycznych kursów mistrzowskich wzorem Accademii Muciale Chigiana w Sienie, czy też Mozarteum w Salzburgu. Kursy obejmują wszystkie instrumenty, śpiew, kompozycję i dyrygenturę.
W dwudziestu sześciu dotychczasowych edycjach wzięło udział ponad 4000 uczestników niemal z całego świata, m.in.: Australii, Japonii, Korei, Chin, Singapuru, USA, Kanady, Brazylii, Chile, Urugwaju i prawie wszystkich krajów europejskich. Wielu z jej uczestników zdobywało laury na międzynarodowych konkursach wykonawczych.
Wykładowcami byli najwybitniejsi pedagodzy Akademii Muzycznej w Krakowie, m.in.: Kaja Danczowska, Ryszard Karczykowski, Krystyna Moszumańska-Nazar, Elżbieta Stefańska, Barbara Świątek-Żelazna, a także światowej sławy artyści, tacy jak: Paul Badura-Skoda, Carlos Cebro, Konstanze Eickhorst, Peter Lukas Graf, Adam Harasiewicz, Eric Heidsiec, Kevin Kenner, Yair Kless, Charlotte Lehmann, Solomon Mikowsky, Alison Pearce, Regina Smendzianka, Dina Yoffe, Aquiles delle Vigne i inni.
Dotychczasowe edycje LAM potwierdziły potrzebę jej istnienia. Z roku na rok rosnący prestiż kursów i koncertów uplasował tę imprezę wśród najważniejszych artystycznych, letnich wydarzeń w naszym kraju i w Europie.
Kolejna, dwudziesta siódma już, Letnia Akademia Muzyczna odbędzie się w dniach 24 – 30 sierpnia 2026
Koncerty wyróżnionych uczestników odbędą się w Auli Florianka. Podobnie jak w latach poprzednich, oczekujemy przybycia licznej grupy uczestników, którzy będą doskonalić swoją sztukę pod kierunkiem wybitnych artystów, a także zachwycą się naszym miastem. Jego wyjątkowa atmosfera sprzyjająca artystycznym kreacjom sprawia, że zarówno mistrzowie, jak i uczniowie z równym entuzjazmem przyjeżdżają do Krakowa, by w nim wzajemnie się inspirować i dzielić pięknem ukochanej przez nas sztuki muzycznej.
The Summer Music Academy was established in 1999 by the then Dean of the Academy of Music in Kraków, Prof. Andrzej Pikul, PhD, who has been its Artistic Director ever since. The idea behind the project was to start summer holiday music master classes in Kraków, following the example of Accademia Muciale Chigiana in Sienna or Mozarteum in Salzburg. The classes comprise all the instruments, vocal performance, composition and conducting.
The twenty-six editions held so far included over 4000 participants from almost all over the world, including Australia, Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, the USA, Canada, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay and almost all the countries in Europe. A lot of the Summer Academy participants have won awards in international performance competitions.
The classes have been taught by the most eminent members of the faculty of the Academy of Music in Kraków, including Kaja Danczowska, Ryszard Karczykowski, Krystyna Moszumańska-Nazar, Elżbieta Stefańska, Barbara Świątek-Żelazna, as well as such world-renowned artists as Paul Badura-Skoda, Carlos Cebro, Konstanze Eickhorst, Peter Lukas Graf, Adam Harasiewicz, Eric Heidsiec, Kevin Kenner, Yair Kless, Charlotte Lehmann, Solomon Mikowsky, Alison Pearce, Regina Smendzianka, Dina Yoffe, Aquiles delle Vigne and others.
The previous editions of the Summer Music Academy have proved there is a great need for its continuation. The prestige of the classes and concerts, which has been growing by the year, has placed the Summer Academy among the major artistic summer events in our country and in Europe.
The twenty-seventh Summer Music Academy will be held from the 24 to the 30 August 2026.
The concerts of the best participants will be held in our beautiful Florianka Concert Hall. Similarly to the preceding years, we expect a large group of participants, who will be able to perfect their art under the guidance of outstanding artists and also enjoy the beauty of our city. Owing to Kraków’s unique atmosphere conducive to artistic creation, both the masters and the students come here with the same enthusiasm to inspire each other and share the beauty of music that we all love.

28. Letnia Akademia Muzyczna Kraków 2026 odbędzie się w dniach 24-30 sierpnia 2026 w Akademii Muzycznej im. Krzysztofa Pendereckiego w Krakowie.
- Jej uczestnikami mogą być studenci i absolwenci akademii muzycznych, uczniowie szkół muzycznych oraz nauczyciele szkolnictwa muzycznego.
- W ramach Letniej Akademii odbędą się kursy: dyrygenckie, instrumentalne, kameralne (smyczkowe), wokalne oraz kompozytorskie. Zespoły kameralne mogą zgłaszać swój udział w kursach prowadzonych przez pedagogów odpowiednich specjalności.
- Kandydaci mogą zgłaszać swój udział:
– czynny
– bierny
W wypadku dużej liczby zgłoszeń na dany kurs o czynnym uczestnictwie zadecyduje przesłuchanie kandydatów pierwszego dnia kursu.
- Uczestnikom czynnym gwarantuje się 4 lekcje (60 minut każda).
- Każdy kurs trwać będzie minimum 4 dni. Faktyczny czas trwania kursu zależeć będzie od liczby zgłoszeń, o czym uczestnicy zostaną poinformowani do 7 lipca 2026 roku.
- Organizatorzy rezerwują sobie prawo zmiany terminu kursów i pedagogów.
- Koncerty wyróżniających się uczestników kursów odbędą się w Auli Florianka, ul. Sereno Fenn’a 15.
The 28th Summer Academy of Music Kraków 2026

The 28th Summer Academy of Music Kraków 2026 will take place from the 24th – 30th August 2026 at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków.
- The following groups are eligible: students and graduates of music higher education institutions, music school pupils and teachers working in music schools.
- The Summer Academy programme includes the following courses: conducting, instrumental, chamber music (strings), vocal and composition. String and wind chamber music ensembles may apply for courses conducted by educators of corresponding specialization.
- The applicants may declare themselves as:
– active participants
– listeners
If there is a large number of applications submitted to any course, the list of active participants will be established on the basis of an audition held on the first day of such a course.
- 4 lessons (60 minutes each) shall be guaranteed for the active participants.
- Each course will last 4 days minimum. The actual duration of the course shall depend on the number of enrolled students. The participants shall be notified by 7 July 2026.
- The Organizers reserve the right to change the course dates and teachers.
- Concerts by outstanding course participants will take place in the Florianka Recital Hall, Sereno Fenn’a 15, Kraków.

W przypadku rezygnacji uczestnika z udziału w Kursie, Organizator zwraca wniesioną opłatę po potrąceniu kwoty 150 zł, jako kwoty wpisowej.
Zwrot opłaty nastąpić może jedynie z ważnej przyczyny losowej (udokumentowanych), zgłoszonej najpóźniej na 10 dni przed rozpoczęciem Kursu; po tym czasie Organizator nie zwraca dokonanych wpłat.
Opłaty za kursy dla kandydatów z Polski:
- Kursy solistyczne*, kompozytorskie i seminaria teoretyczno-muzyczne:
1000 PLN + 150 PLN (wpisowe) = 1150 PLN
* z wyjątkiem wyróżnionych kursów solistycznych (poniżej)
- Kursy dyrygenckie oraz *wyróżnione kursy solistyczne (Rafał Jacek Delekta, Konstanze Eickhorst, Dominka Falger, Jacek Muzyk, Stefan Sanders, Constantin Sandu, Janusz Wawrowski, Michael Wessel, Krzysztof Węgrzyn, Wladislaw Winokurow):
1400 PLN + 150 PLN (wpisowe) = 1550 PLN
- Kameralistyka:
Duet: 1000 PLN + 300 PLN (wpisowe) = 1300 PLN
Trio: 1200 PLN + 450 PLN (wpisowe) = 1650 PLN
Kwartet: 1300 PLN + 600 PLN (wpisowe) = 1900 PLN
Kwintet i większe składy: 1500 PLN + 150 PLN/osobę (wpisowe)
- Opłata dla uczestników biernych, obywateli RP:
Uczniowie i studenci: 200 PLN + 150 PLN (wpisowe) = 350 PLN (z zaświadczeniem uczestnictwa)
Nauczyciele i inni: 350 PLN + 150 PLN (wpisowe) = 500 PLN (z zaświadczeniem uczestnictwa)
Karta wstępu na jeden dzień kursu: 70 PLN
- Candidates to a course of the Summer Academy are requested to send from by 30th June 2026 an online application form, enclosing a confirmation of payment of the non-refundable registration fee, 50 €.
- The fee with registration fee for the course should be settled at the latest by 30th June 2026.

The fees for courses may be paid to the bank account specified above or directly at the cash desk of The Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków. The foreign students are asked to pay the equivalent in PLN, on the basis of the rate of exchange Euro/PLN in accordance with the average rate of exchange published by the National Polish Bank on the day of payment.
In case of a participant’s resignation from a course, the Organiser returns the fee paid after deducting 50 € of the registration fee.
Fees may be returned only due to important unforeseeable and documented reasons, notified at the latest 10 days before commencement of a course. After such date the Organiser will not return the fees.
Course fees for foreign applicants:
- Solo courses, composition courses and music theory seminars: 400 € + 50 € (Registration Fee) = 450 €
- Chamber music:
Duo: 430 € + 100 € (Registration Fee) = 530 €
Trio: 600 € + 150 € (Registration Fee) = 750 €
Quartet: 800 € + 200 € (Registration Fee) = 1000 €
Quintet and larger ensembles: 1000 € + 50 €/per person (Registration Fee)
- Course fee for foreign applicants – listeners:
School pupils and students: 100 € + 50 € (Registration Fee) = 150 €
Teachers and others: 150 € + 50 € (Registration Fee) = 200 €
