REGULAMIN
III Międzynarodowego Konkursu Fletowego dla Studentów
im. Eugeniusza Towarnickiego

§ 1

1. III Międzynarodowy Konkurs Fletowy dla Studentów im. Eugeniusza Towarnickiego, zwany w dalszej części Regulaminu – Konkursem – jest organizowany przez Akademię Muzyczną im. Grażyny i Kiejstuta Bacewiczów w Łodzi (zwany dalej „Akademią”).
1.1. Współorganizatorami Konkursu są: Akademia Muzyczna im. Ignacego Jana Paderewskiego w Poznaniu oraz Uniwersytet Muzyczny Fryderyka Chopina w Warszawie.

2. Konkurs odbędzie się w dniach 4-7 listopada 2025 roku w siedzibie Akademii Muzycznej im. Grażyny i Kiejstuta Bacewiczów w Łodzi.

3. Konkurs przeznaczony jest dla studentek lub studentów studiów licencjackich i magisterskich klas fletu wszystkich narodowości, którzy w momencie rozpoczęcia konkursu nie ukończyli 25 roku życia, oraz dla utalentowanych uczniów szkół średnich spełniających wymagania konkursowe / programowe. Osoby, które nie ukończyły 18-tego roku życia, mogą wziąć udział w Konkursie za pisemną zgodą przedstawiciela ustawowego.

4. Celem Konkursu jest:

• podniesienie poziomu kształcenia w zakresie warsztatu gry na flecie;
• propagowanie muzyki na flet solo oraz kameralnej w tym najnowszej twórczości polskich i zagranicznych kompozytorów;
• podniesienie poziomu kształcenia artystycznego w muzycznych uczelniach wyższych w zakresie prezentacji utworów na flet solo oraz na flet i fortepian;
• przegląd ogólnopolskiego i zagranicznego poziomu nauczania w muzycznych uczelniach wyższych;
• konfrontacja osiągnięć studentek lub studentów;
• popularyzacja fletu poprzecznego poprzez spotkanie młodych instrumentalistów wielu narodowości i współzawodnictwo w ramach konkursu;
• wyłonienie najzdolniejszych młodych instrumentalistów;
• wymiana doświadczeń uczestników Konkursu w zakresie gry na flecie;
• poszerzenie repertuaru na flet solo;
• poszukiwanie nowych form promocji Polski oraz utrwalenie pozycji fletu jako muzycznej wizytówki Polski.

5. W Konkursie mogą brać udział laureaci poprzednich edycji.

6. Eliminacje – I etap konkursu będzie przeprowadzony wyłącznie online, zaś przesłuchania konkursowe II i III etapu oraz koncert laureatów odbędą się stacjonarnie w Akademii Muzycznej im. Grażyny i Kiejstuta Bacewiczów w Łodzi. Wszelkie informacje dotyczące konkursu zamieszczone są na stronie Uczelni oraz na stronie
www.towarnickicompetition.pl

7. Konkurs rozegrany zostanie w dwóch oddzielnych kategoriach:

• Kategoria młodsza: studentka lub student studiów licencjackich
• Kategoria starsza: studentka lub student studiów magisterskich

§ 2 Warunki uczestnictwa

1. Udział w konkursie należy zgłosić do dnia 31 lipca 2025 roku, wypełniając formularz znajdujący się na stronie www.towarnickicompetition.pl. [EDIT: 18.05.2025]
1.1. Formularz rejestracyjny zostanie udostępniony na stronie: www.towarnickicompetition.pl Strona konkursu zostanie uruchomiona do dnia 28 kwietnia 2025 roku.

2. Do formularza zgłoszenia w języku polskim lub angielskim należy dołączyć wszystkie wymagane pliki określone w treści formularza, w tym:
2.1. Jeden link odsyłający do nagrania audio-wideo (YouTube). Nadesłanie więcej niż jednego linku wiąże się z dyskwalifikacją uczestnika.
W opisie filmu na YouTube należy wpisać:
III Międzynarodowy Konkurs Fletowy dla Studentów im. Eugeniusza Towarnickiego, Łódź 2025, Imię i Nazwisko uczestnika, kategoria, program.
2.1.1. Film na platformie YouTube musi być ustawiony z możliwością publicznego odtwarzania. Nagranie audio-wideo powinno być zrealizowane w wysokiej jakości dźwiękowej i wizualnej, umożliwiającej odbiór bez zniekształceń. Nagranie musi przedstawiać aparat wykonawczy osoby grającej z widocznym instrumentem wraz z całą sylwetką grającego w bliskiej odległości umożliwiającej identyfikację uczestnika. Należy dokonać rejestracji wykonania wszystkich utworów z pierwszego etapu wyłącznie z jednej kamery bez dodatkowych cięć w trakcie ich trwania. Nagranie nie może być poddane edycji (bez cięć, bez montażu). Niedopełnienie powyższych wymogów skutkować będzie niedopuszczeniem materiału do eliminacji.
2.2. Życiorys artystyczny (maksymalnie 2000 znaków ze spacjami) w wersji polskiej i angielskiej. Organizatorzy zastrzegają sobie prawo do skrótów i redakcji w przypadku dłuższych lub niepoprawnie napisanych życiorysów.
2.3. Aktualna fotografia (w wersji elektronicznej w formie pliku JPG o rozdzielczości minimum 300 dpi).
2.4. W przypadku osób niepełnoletnich zgoda na udział w Konkursie podpisana przez przedstawiciela ustawowego.
2.5. Skan legitymacji potwierdzający tożsamość oraz status studentki / ta.
2.5.1. Legitymacja musi być ważna.
2.6. Dowód opłaty konkursowej.

3. Wpisowe należy przelać na konto:

Tytuł przelewu: „Imię i Nazwisko – Konkurs E. Towarnickiego”
3.1. Dla studiujących w uczelni z siedzibą w Polsce wynosi 400,00 PLN
3.2. Dla studiujących w uczelni zagranicznej wynosi 100,00 EURO
3.3. Dla uczniów uczących się w szkole muzycznej opłaty są tożsame z opłatami studentek/ów.
3.4. Wpisowe nie podlega zwrotowi i nie obejmuje kosztów zakwaterowania i wyżywienia. Opłaty za przelew oraz ewentualne inne prowizje bankowe ponosi uczestnik Konkursu.

4. Nadesłane zgłoszenia poddane będą weryfikacji przez Organizatora Konkursu, który ma prawo odrzucić zgłoszenie. Zgłoszenie niekompletne oraz przesłane po terminie 30 czerwca 2025 roku nie będzie przyjęte.

5. Powiadomienie kandydatów o prawidłowej rejestracji oraz zakwalifikowaniu się do I etapu Konkursu – Eliminacji online nastąpi drogą elektroniczną (e-mail).

6. Uczestnicy otrzymają potwierdzenie udziału w II etapie przesłuchań konkursowych do dnia 23 lipca 2025 roku.
6.1. II etap przesłuchań konkursowych odbędzie się w sposób uniemożliwiający Jury identyfikację uczestnika, który wykonywał będzie swoje utwory za kotarą.
6.2. Kolejność występu uczestników zostanie ustalona drogą losowania (tzw. losowanie literki) na 30 dni przed datą rozpoczęcia Konkursu. Lista uczestników zostanie opublikowana po losowaniu na stronie internetowej www.towarnickicompetition.pl oraz na www.amuz.lodz.pl

§ 3 Dyplomy

1. Uczestnicy I etapu Konkursu otrzymają Dyplom Uczestnika Konkursu.
Uczestnicy II etapu Konkursu otrzymają Dyplom Półfinalisty Konkursu.
Uczestnicy III etapu Konkursu otrzymają Dyplom Laureata Konkursu.

2. Dyplomy dla uczestników I etapu zostaną wysłane wyłącznie drogą elektroniczną (e-mail).

3. Dyplomy dla uczestników II etapu zostaną przekazane drogą stacjonarną.

4. Dyplomy dla uczestników III etapu zostaną przekazane drogą stacjonarną.

§ 4 Akompaniament

1. Uczestnicy Konkursu występujący z własnymi akompaniatorami, ponoszą koszty ich podróży, wyżywienia i zakwaterowania we własnym zakresie.

2. W przypadku braku własnego akompaniatora organizatorzy zapewniają akompaniatora
w II i III etapie Konkursu za odpłatnością:

• 400 zł – koszt akompaniatora w II etapie,
• 400 zł – koszt akompaniatora w III etapie.

Uczestnikowi gwarantuje się 50 minutową próbę z akompaniatorem oraz występ konkursowy. O terminie prób Uczestnicy zostaną powiadomieni indywidualnie drogą mailową.

§ 5 Kwalifikacja Uczestników do Konkursu

1. Przesłuchania będą prowadzone w trzech etapach. Pierwszy etap to forma eliminacji na podstawie nadesłanych linków do nagrania audio-wideo na platformie YouTube. Nadesłanie więcej niż jednego linku wiąże się z dyskwalifikacją uczestnika. Eliminacji dokonują członkowie jury.

2. Do II etapu przesłuchań zostanie dopuszczonych nie więcej niż 14 uczestników w danej kategorii. W wyjątkowej sytuacji Jury ma prawo zwiększyć liczbę zakwalifikowanych uczestników w każdej kategorii.

3. O terminie występu w II etapie uczestnik zostanie poinformowany nie później niż do dnia 23 lipca 2025 roku.

4. Uczestnicy II etapu przesłuchań konkursowych powinni zgłosić się do Biura Konkursu, które mieścić się będzie od 4 listopada 2025 do 7 listopada 2025 r. w Akademii Muzycznej im. Grażyny i Kiejstuta Bacewiczów w Łodzi w celu potwierdzenia udziału w Konkursie i rejestracji. W przypadku trudnej sytuacji epidemicznej w Polsce i na świecie Konkurs zostanie całkowicie przeniesiony do sieci i odbędzie się online.

5. Do III etapu przesłuchań zostanie dopuszczonych nie więcej niż 4 uczestników w danej kategorii. W wyjątkowej sytuacji Jury ma prawo zwiększyć liczbę zakwalifikowanych uczestników w każdej kategorii.

6. Podczas wszystkich etapów Konkursu obowiązuje alfabetyczna kolejność przesłuchań począwszy od litery wylosowanej przez Organizatorów. W przypadku braku gotowości uczestnika do wystąpienia w kolejności wyznaczonej w powyższy sposób (dotyczy II, III etapu) może on stracić prawo udziału w Konkursie. Z ważnych powodów, za zgodą Dyrektora Konkursu, Biuro Konkursu ma prawo dokonywania zmian w kolejności przesłuchań w ramach jednego dnia.

§ 6 Wymagania programowe

1. Program Konkursu dla kategorii młodszej: studentka lub student studiów licencjackich.
Wybór wydawnictwa poszczególnych utworów pozostaje w dyspozycji wykonawcy.
I ETAP
W pierwszym etapie (online) obligatoryjnie należy wykonać dwie kompozycje.

• O kolejności wykonania utworów w danym etapie decyduje uczestnik.
• Kompozycje mogą być wykonane z pamięci lub z nut.

1) Sigfrid Karg-Elert – 30 Studies op. 107 (uczestnik wykona jedną etiudę spośród zaproponowanych przez organizatora: 12, 16, 19, 23)
2) Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach – Sonata a-moll na flet solo Wq.132 (uczestnik wykona dwie dowolne części utworu)

II ETAP
W drugim etapie należy wykonać trzy kompozycje.

• O kolejności wykonania utworów w danym etapie decyduje uczestnik.
• Jedna z kompozycji
• w danym etapie musi być wykonana z pamięci. Pozostałe kompozycje mogą być wykonane z nut.
• Każdy z uczestników deklaruje w formularzu zgłoszeniowym program konkursowy, który nie podlega zmianie.

Program:
1) Georg Philipp Telemann – 12 Fantaisies per il Flauto traverso senza Basso
(uczestnik wykona jedną z dwunastu fantazji);

2) Uczestnik wykona obowiązkowy utwór polskiego kompozytora napisany dla potrzeb Konkursu dla kategorii młodszej. Kompozycja zostanie opublikowana do końca sierpnia 2025 roku;

3) Uczestnik wykona jeden z podanych poniżej utworów na flet solo (lista repertuaru):

• Malcolm Arnold – Fantasy op. 89
• Eugène Bozza – Image op. 38
• Ernst von Dohnanyi – Passacaglia op. 48 nr 2
• Pierre Octave Ferroud – Trois pièces pour flûte (nr 3 Toan Yan)

• André Jolivet – Cinq Incantations (IV Pour une communion sereine de l’être avec le monde, V Aux funérailles du chef – pour obtenir la protection de son âme)

III ETAP
W trzecim etapie należy wykonać trzy kompozycje.

• O kolejności wykonania utworów w danym etapie decyduje uczestnik.
• Jedna z kompozycji w danym etapie musi być wykonana z pamięci. Pozostałe kompozycje mogą być wykonane z nut.
• Każdy z uczestników deklaruje w formularzu zgłoszeniowym program konkursowy, który nie podlega zmianie.

3) Uczestnik wykona w całości dowolny utwór na flet i fortepian. Uczestnik nie może wykonać utworu cyklicznego.

2. Program Konkursu dla kategorii starszej: studentka lub student studiów magisterskich.
Wybór wydawnictwa poszczególnych utworów pozostaje w dyspozycji wykonawcy.

I ETAP
W pierwszym etapie (online) obligatoryjnie należy wykonać dwie kompozycje.
Kompozycje mogą być wykonane z pamięci lub z nut.
1) Saverio Mercadante – 10 Arias: Variations Sur Des Airs D’Operas pour flute seule
(uczestnik wykona jedną Arię z wariacjami spośród zaproponowanych przez organizatora:

2) Johann Sebastian Bach – Partita a-moll na flet solo BWV 1013 (uczestnik wykona dwie dowolne części kompozycji)

II ETAP
W drugim etapie należy wykonać trzy kompozycje.

• O kolejności wykonania utworów w danym etapie decyduje uczestnik.
• Jedna z kompozycji w danym etapie musi być wykonana z pamięci. Pozostałe kompozycje mogą być wykonane z nut.
• Każdy z uczestników deklaruje w formularzu zgłoszeniowym program konkursowy, który nie podlega zmianie.

III ETAP

§ 7 Nagrody

1.Przewidziane są następujące nagrody finansowe w każdej kategorii:
Kategoria młodsza: studentka lub student studiów licencjackich

• I Nagroda – 5000 PLN
• II Nagroda – 2500 PLN
• III Nagroda – 1500 PLN
• Wyróżnienia – 1000 PLN

Kategoria starsza: studentka lub student studiów magisterskich

• I nagroda – 5000 PLN
• II Nagroda – 2500 PLN
• III Nagroda – 1500 PLN
• Wyróżnienia – 1000 PLN

2. Kwoty nagród podlegają opodatkowaniu, zgodnie ze stanem prawnym obowiązującym w Polsce.

3. Nagrody pieniężne zostaną przekazane na rachunek bankowy laureata, w terminie do 30 dni od dnia zakończenia Konkursu, pod warunkiem dostarczenia Organizatorowi właściwych danych i numeru rachunku bankowego, na który ma być przekazana nagroda.

4. Nagrody pieniężne w Konkursie zostaną przekazane na rzecz laureatów po wcześniejszym przekazaniu Organizatorowi wszystkich danych wymaganych do uregulowania kwestii zryczałtowanego podatku dochodowego, zgodnie z art. 30 ust. 1 pkt. 2 ustawy o podatku dochodowym od osób fizycznych, w wysokości 10% wartości nagrody. Organizator Konkursu jako płatnik przekaże zryczałtowany podatek do właściwego urzędu skarbowego w imieniu laureatów.

5. W przypadku dużej różnicy punktowej między uczestnikami lub niskiej punktacji Jury może zdecydować o nieprzyznawaniu określonego miejsca wśród laureatów. W takim wypadku Jury może zdecydować o rozdzieleniu nagrody przypadającej za to miejsce innym laureatom i wyróżnionym uczestnikom.

6. Jury ma prawo nie przyznać poszczególnych nagród głównych i wyróżnień.

7. Niezależnie od ww. nagród i wyróżnień mogą zostać przyznane nagrody pozaregulaminowe oraz nagrody rzeczowe. W przypadku przyznania nagród pozaregulaminowych w tym rzeczowych, o ich podziale decyduje Jury.

8. Nagrodzeni fleciści są zobowiązani do wzięcia udziału nieodpłatnie w koncercie laureatów.

9. W przypadku braku dofinansowania Konkursu ze źródeł zewnętrznych nagrody mogą ulec zmianie bądź modyfikacji.

§ 8 Jury

1. Jury składa się z wybitnych artystów muzyków i pedagogów.

2. Skład Jury zostanie ogłoszony bezpośrednio przed Konkursem.

3. Poziom prezentacji programu w wykonaniu uczestników Konkursu, Jury będzie oceniać poprzez przyznanie za każdy wykonywany utwór punktów w skali od 11-25.
3.1. Jury Konkursu, na podstawie przyznanej uczestnikom punktacji, wyłania laureatów I, II i III miejsca oraz wyróżnień.

4. Decyzje Jury dotyczące wyników Konkursu są ostateczne i niepodważalne. Konsultacje z Jury możliwe są tylko i wyłącznie po zakończeniu przesłuchań konkursowych lub w przypadku nie przejścia uczestnika do kolejnego etapu przesłuchań.

§ 9 Prawa autorskie

1. Uczestnicy wyrażają zgodę na utrwalanie (szczególnie w postaci zdjęć i nagrań wideo), wykorzystanie i publikację swojego wizerunku za pośrednictwem dowolnego medium, w tym w wersji elektronicznej w globalnej sieci www (Internet), mediach społecznościowych oraz w formie drukowanej.

2. Uczestnicy Konkursu przenoszą nieodpłatnie na Organizatora swoje autorskie prawa majątkowe związane z wizerunkiem i wykonaniem utworów w Konkursie.

3. Uczestnicy przenoszą ww. prawa w celu wykorzystania ich przez Organizatora w sposób nieograniczony czasowo i terytorialne na poniższych polach eksploatacji:

• utrwalenie;
• zwielokrotnienie w każdej technice;
• wprowadzenie do pamięci komputera, sieci Internet lub innej;
• publiczne odtwarzanie i wykonywanie;
• wystawianie;
• wyświetlanie;
• nadawanie, integralne transmisje, retransmisje za pomocą wizji lub fonii (przewodowej lub bezprzewodowej), przez stacje naziemne i satelitarne oraz za pomocą sieci Internet lub innej.

4. Eksploatacja ww. praw na ww. polach będzie dokonywana przez Organizatora i/lub podmioty uprawnione przez Organizatora. Uczestnikom Konkursu nie przysługuje z tego tytułu żadne roszczenie do wynagrodzenia.

5. Organizator nie ponosi odpowiedzialności za naruszenie praw autorskich osób trzecich przez uczestnika Konkursu.

§ 10 Ochrona danych

1. Podanie danych jest dobrowolne, ale niezbędne do wzięcia udziału w Konkursie. Dane osobowe podane w formularzu zgłoszeniowym będą przetwarzane zgodnie z Rozporządzeniem Parlamentu Europejskiego i Rady (UE) 2016/79 z dnia 27 kwietnia 2016 r. w sprawie ochrony danych osobowych i w sprawie swobodnego przepływu takich danych oraz uchylenia dyrektywy 95/46/WE (ogólne rozporządzenie o ochronie danych RODO). Podstawa prawna art. 6 ust. 1 lit. a RODO.

2. Administratorem podanych danych będzie Akademia Muzyczna im. Grażyny i Kiejstuta Bacewiczów w Łodzi w okresie od daty ich podania przez okres 2 lat. W przypadku przyznania nagród, dane osób nagrodzonych będą przetwarzane do celów księgowych przez okres 5 lat.

3. Dane osobowe będą przetwarzane w celu przeprowadzenia oraz promocji III Międzynarodowego Konkursu Fletowego dla Studentów im. Eugeniusza Towarnickiego, Łódź, 4-7 listopada 2025 roku.

4. Dane osobowe uczestników będą przekazywane Jury Konkursu.

5. Dane osobowe w postaci adresu e-mail będą przetwarzane w celu informacji uczestników o kolejnych edycjach Konkursu do czasu wycofania zgody przez uczestnika. Wycofanie zgody jest dobrowolne.

6. Dane osobowe mogą zostać przekazane następującym podmiotom:

• dane osobowe w postaci imienia, nazwiska, numeru telefonu i adresu e-mail mogą zostać przekazane sponsorom lub patronom, którzy zdecydują się przyznać nagrody lub wyróżnienia w ramach Konkursu;
• dane wizerunkowe zostaną wykorzystane przez Organizatora w celach marketingowych, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem materiałów promocyjnych, za pośrednictwem dowolnego medium, w tym w wersji elektronicznej w globalnej sieci WWW (Internet), mediach społecznościowych oraz w formie drukowanej.

7. Zgodnie z RODO uczestnikom Konkursu przysługuje:

• prawo dostępu do swoich danych oraz otrzymania ich kopii;
• prawo do sprostowania (poprawienia) swoich danych;
• prawo do ograniczenia lub prawo do przenoszenia danych osobowych lub ich usunięcia;
• prawo do wniesienia skargi do Prezesa UODO.

8. Podanie przez Państwa danych osobowych nie jest obowiązkowe, ale jest niezbędne do wzięcia udziału w III Międzynarodowym Konkurs dla Studentów im. Eugeniusza Towarnickiego, Łódź, 4-7 listopada 2025 roku.
Nieudostępnienie danych osobowych uniemożliwia wzięcie udziału w Konkursie.

9. Dane osobowe uczestnika Konkursu nie będą wykorzystywane do podejmowania decyzji w sposób zautomatyzowany.

§ 11

1. Z przyczyn niezależnych od Organizatora Konkurs może zostać odwołany, nie później niż do 30 kwietnia 2025 roku.

2. W przypadku odwołania Konkursu uczestnikom zostaną zwrócone wniesione opłaty konkursowe po potrąceniu opłat bankowych.

3. W przypadku trudnej sytuacji epidemicznej w Polsce i na świecie Konkurs zostanie całkowicie przeniesiony do sieci i odbędzie się online.

4. Zgłoszenie uczestnictwa jest równoznaczne z akceptacją Regulaminu Konkursu.

REGULATIONS
OF THE 3rd EUGENIUSZ TOWARNICKI FLUTE COMPETITION
FOR STUDENTS

§ 1

1. The 3rd Eugeniusz Towarnicki International Flute Competition for Students hereinafter referred to as the Competition, is organized by The Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź (further called the Academy).
1.1. The co-organizers of the Competition are: The I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań and The Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.

2. The Competition will take place between November 4th and 7th 2025, in The Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź.

3. The Competition is open to students of bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the specialty of flute, of all nationalities, who are under 25 years of age at the time of the start of the competition, as well as to talented secondary school students who meet the competition/program requirements. Persons under the age of 18 may participate in the Competition with the written consent of their legal representative.

4. . The goal of the Competition is:

• raising the level of flute fundamentals education;
• promoting flute solo and chamber music, including the contemporary works of Polish and foreign composers;
• raising the artistic education level of flute solo and flute and piano repertoire presentation across the music academies;
• review of education level in Poland and abroad;
• students’ achievements confrontation;
• flute popularization through international meeting of young instrumentalists;
• choosing the most talented young instrumentalists;
• flute playing experience exchange between Competition participants;
• expanding the solo flute repertoire;
• search for new Poland’s promotion possibilities as well as establishing flute’s position as Poland’s musical calling card.

5. The winners of previous editions can participate in the Competition.

6. Preliminaries – the first stage of the competition will be conducted exclusively online, while the competition auditions of the second and third stages and the laureates’ concert will be held stationary at The Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź. All information about the competition is posted on the Academy’s website and at www.towarnickicompetition.pl

7. The competition will be held in two separate categories:

• Younger category: undergraduate – bachelor’s degree student;
• Older category: graduate – master’s degree student.

§ 2 Terms and conditions of participation

1. Participation in the competition must be submitted by July 31st, 2025, by filling out the form located at:
www.towarnickicompetition.pl [EDIT: 18.05.2025]
1.1. The application form will be available on Competition’s website: www.towarnickicompetition.pl
The website will be launched by April 28th, 2025.

2. The application form in Polish or English must be accompanied by all the required files specified in the content of the form, including:
2.1. One link to an audio-video recording (YouTube). Submitting more than one link will result in disqualification of the participant.
In the description of the YouTube video, please write:

2.1.1. The video on the YouTube platform must be set up with the possibility of public playback. The audio-video recording should be made in high audio and visual quality for distortion-free reception. The recording must show the performance apparatus of the person playing with a visible instrument (oboe, bassoon) along with the entire silhouette of the player and accompanist in close proximity to identify the participant. A recording of the performance of all pieces from the first stage must be made exclusively from one camera without additional cuts during the performance. The recording must not be subjected to editing (no cuts, no editing). Failure to comply with the above requirements will result in the material not being admitted for elimination.
2.2. An artistic curriculum vitae (maximum 2000 characters without spaces) in Polish or English. The organizers reserve the right to edit in case of longer or incorrectly written resumes.
2.3. Recent photo (electronically in the form of a JPG file with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi).
2.4. In the case of minors, a consent to participate in the Competition signed by the legal representative.
2.5. A scan of your student ID card confirming your identity and student status.
2.5.1. Your student ID card must be valid.
2.6. Proof of competition fee payment.

3. The competition entry fee should be transferred to the account:

3.1. For those studying at an academy or university based in Poland, it is 400,00 PLN
3.2. For those studying in an academy/university outside Poland, it is 100,00 EURO
3.3. For music school students, fees are the same as those for academic and university students.
3.4. The enrolment fee cannot be reimbursed and does not cover the costs of accommodation and alimentation. Transfer fees and any other bank commissions shall be covered by the participant.

4. Submitted applications will be reviewed by the Competition Organizer, who has the right to reject the application. Incomplete application and those sent after the deadline of June 30th, 2025 will not be accepted.

5. Candidates will be notified of correct registration and qualification for the 1st stage of the Competition the Online Preliminaries, will be made by electronic means (e-mail).

6. Participants will receive confirmation of participation in the 2nd stage of the Competition auditions by July 23rd, 2025.
6.1. The 2nd stage of the competition auditions will be held in such a way that the Jury will not be able to identify the participant, who will perform his pieces behind the curtain.
6.2. The order in which the participants will perform will be determined by drawing lots (the so-called “letter draw”) 30 days before the start date of the Competition. After the draw the list of participants will be published online at: www.towarnickicompetition.pl and www.amuz.Łódź.pl

§ 3 Diplomas

1. Participants of the 1st stage of the Competition will receive a Participant’s Diploma.
Participants of the 2nd stage of the Competition will receive a Semi-Finalist’s Diploma.
Participants of the 3rd stage of the Competition will receive an Prize-Winner’s Diploma.

2. Diplomas for participants in the first stage will be sent only in electronic form (e-mail).

3. Diplomas for the participants of the 2nd stage will be handed over via stationary means.

4. Diplomas for the participants of the 3rd stage will be handed over via stationary means.

§ 4 Accompaniment

1. Participants of the Competition performing with their own accompanists, bear the costs of their travel, food and accommodation on their own.

2. In case of their own accompanist absence, the organizers provide an accompanist in the 2nd and 3rd stage of the Competition for a fee:

• 400 PLN – cost of accompanist in the 2nd stage,
• 400 PLN – cost of accompanist in the 3rd stage.

The participant is guaranteed a 50-minute rehearsal with an accompanist and a competition performance. Participants will be notified individually of the rehearsal date by email.

§ 5 Qualification of Participants for the Competition

1. Auditions will be conducted in three stages. The first stage is a form of elimination on the basis of submitted links to the audio-video recording on the YouTube platform. Submitting more than one link will result in disqualification of the participant. Eliminations are carried out by members of the jury.

2. No more than 12 participants in a given specialty will be admitted to the second stage of the auditions. In an exceptional situation, the Jury has the right to increase the number of qualified participants in each specialty.

3. The participant will be informed of the date of performance in the 2nd stage no later than July 23, 2025.

4. Participants in the 2nd stage of the competition auditions should report to the Competition Office which will be located, from November 4, 2025 to November 7, 2025 at the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź to confirm participation in the Competition and registration. In case of a difficult epidemic situation in Poland and around the world, the Competition will be completely transferred to the web and will be held online.

5. No more than 4 participants in a particular specialty will be admitted to the 3rd stage of auditions. In an exceptional situation, the Jury has the right to increase the number of qualified participants.

6. During all stages of the Competition, the auditions are conducted in alphabetical order, starting with the letter drawn by the Organizers. If the participant is not ready to perform in the order determined in the above manner (applies to the 2nd and 3rd stage), he/she may lose the right to participate in the Competition. For important reasons, with the approval of the Competition Director, the Competition Office has the right to make changes in the order of auditions within one day.

§ 6 Program requirements

1. The Competition program for the Younger category: bachelor’s student.
The music score edition of particular works/pieces remains a free choice of the performer.
1st STAGE
In the first stage (online), two compositions are mandatory.

• The participant decides on the order in which the pieces are performed in each stage.
• Compositions can be performed from memory or from sheet music.

1) Sigfrid Karg-Elert – 30 Studies, Op. 107 (participant will perform one etude from among those proposed by the organizer: 12, 16, 19, 23)
2) Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach – Sonata in A minor for Solo Flute, Wq.132 (The participant will perform any two parts of the work)

2nd STAGE
In the second stage, three compositions are mandatory.

• The participant decides on the order in which the pieces are performed in each stage.
• One of the compositions in a given stage must be performed from memory. Other compositions can be performed from sheet music.
• Each participant declares the competition program in the application form, which is not subject to change.

§ 7 Prizes

1. The following financial prizes are provided for each category:
Younger category: undergraduate (bachelor’s student)

• 1st Prize – 5000 PLN
• 2nd Prize – 2500 PLN
• 3rd Prize – 1500 PLN
• Distinction Awards – 1000 PLN

Older category: graduate (master’s student)

• 1st Prize – 5000 PLN
• 2nd Prize – 2500 PLN
• 3rd Prize – 1500 PLN
• Distinction Awards – 1000 PLN

2. Prize amounts are subject to taxation, in accordance with the legal status in force in Poland.

3. Cash prizes will be transferred to the winner’s bank account within 30 days from the date of the end of the Competition, if the Organizer is provided with the correct data and bank account number to which the prize is to be transferred.

4. Cash prizes in the Competition will be transferred to the winners after providing the Organizer with all the data required to settle the issue of flat-rate income tax, in accordance with Article 30, paragraph 1, item. 2 of the Personal Income Tax Law, in the amount of 10% of the award value. The Competition Organizer, as the payer, will transfer the flat-rate tax to the competent tax office on behalf of the prize winners.

5. In the case of a large point difference between participants, or low scores, the Jury may decide not to award a particular place among the laureates. In such a case, the Jury may decide to distribute the prize allocated for that place to other laureates and distinguished participants.

6. The jury shall have the right not to grant some individual prizes and distinction awards.

7. Regardless of the above prizes and distinction awards, extra-statutory prizes and prizes in-kind may be granted. In the case of awarding extra-statutory prizes, including in-kind prizes, the Jury shall decide on their distribution.

8. Prize-winning flutists are required to participate in the winners’ concert free of charge.

9. If the Competition is not co-funded from external sources, prizes and awards are subject to change or modification.

§ 8 Jury

1. The Jury shall be composed of prominent music artists and educators.

2. The Jury members will be announced directly before the Competition.

3. The Jury will evaluate the level of program presentation performed by the participants of the Competition, by awarding points for each performed piece on a scale of 11-25.
3.1. On the basis of the points awarded to the participants, the Jury of the Competition will select the winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and distinction awards.

4. The Jury’s decisions on the results of the Competition are final and indisputable. Consultation with the Jury is possible only after the end of the Competition’s auditions or in case a participant does not advance to the next stage of the auditions.

§ 9 Copyright

1. Participants agree to the recording (especially in the form of photographs and video recordings), use and publication of their image through any medium, including electronic version on the global World Wide Web (Internet), social media and in printed form.

2. Participants of the Competition transfer their copyrights related to the image and performance of works in the Competition to the Organizer, free of charge.

3. The Participants transfer the aforementioned rights in order to be used by the Organizer in an unlimited time and territorial manner in the following fields of use:

• capturing;
• reproduction in any technique;
• entering into computer memory, the Internet or other network;
• public playback and performance;
• exhibition;
• display;
• broadcasting, integral transmission, retransmission by means of vision or sound (wired or wireless), by terrestrial and satellite stations and by means of the internet or other network.

4. Exploitation of the above-mentioned rights in the aforementioned fields will be carried out by the Organizer and/or entities authorized by the Organizer. Competition participants are not entitled to any remuneration in this regard.

5. The Organizer is not responsible for any infringement of third-party copyrights by the Contest participant.

§ 10 Personal data protection

1. Providing data is voluntary, but necessary to participate in the Competition. Personal data provided in the application form will be processed in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/79 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation – Polish RODO). Legal basis Article 6(1)(a) General Data Protection Regulation.

2. The administrator of the data provided will be the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź within the period of 2 years from the date of the data submission. In case of granting prizes, the awarded persons’ data will be processed for accounting purposes for a period of 5 years.

3. Personal data will be processed for the purpose of conducting and promoting the 3rd Eugeniusz Towarnicki International Flute Competition for Students, Łódź, November 4th-7th, 2025.

4. Personal data of participants will be provided to the Jury of the Competition.

5. Personal data in the form of an e-mail address will be processed to inform the participants about future editions of the Competition until the participant withdraws consent. The withdrawal of consent is voluntary.

6. Personal data may be transferred to the following entities:

• personal data in the form of name, surname, telephone number and e-mail address may be provided to sponsors or patrons who decide to award prizes or distinction awards in the Contest;
• image data will be used by the Organizer for marketing purposes, with particular emphasis on promotional materials, through any medium, including electronic version on the global World Wide Web (Internet), social media and in printed form.

7. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, participants of the Competition are entitled to:

• access their data and receive a copy of it;
• rectify (correct) their data;
• limit or transfer their personal data, or to have it deleted;
• lodge a complaint to the President of the DPA (Personal Data Protection Office).

8. Providing your personal data is not mandatory, but it is necessary to participate in the 3rd Eugeniusz Towarnicki International Flute Competition for Students, Łódź, November 4th-7th, 2025. Not providing personal data will prevent you from participating in the Competition.

9. Personal data of the Competition participant will not be used to make decisions in an automated manner.

§ 11

1. For reasons beyond the control of the Organizer, the Competition may be canceled, no later than April 30, 2025.

2. In the event of cancellation of the Competition, participants will be refunded the Contest fees that have been paid, minus bank fees.

3. In the event of a difficult epidemic situation in Poland and around the world, the Competition will be completely transferred to the internet and will take place online.

4. Application for participation is equal to acceptance of the Rules of the Competition.

Eugeniusz Michał Towarnicki

Urodził się 4.01.1904 roku w Kołomyi (teren dzisiejszej Ukrainy). Zmarł w Krakowie 19.03.1971 roku.
W latach 1917-1920 uczeń Średniej Szkoły Handlowej we Lwowie. Po jej ukończeniu rozpoczął studia w lwowskim Konserwatorium Polskiego Towarzystwa Muzycznego. Ukończył studia w roku 1927 w klasie A. Spata i St. Szera. W tym samym roku odbył studia uzupełniające u M. Moyse’a w Paryżu. Od 1928 roku flecista Orkiestry Teatrów Miejskich (Teatr Wielki i Teatr Nowości) we Lwowie. W latach 1933-1939 prowadził klasę fletu w Konserwatorium PTM. W roku 1938 został zaangażowany jako flecista do Orkiestry Polskiego Radia we Lwowie pod dyrekcją T. Seredyńskiego. W 1939 roku gdy wybuchła II wojna światowa, powołany do wojska, następnie ewakuowany do Rumunii skąd trafił w 1940 roku do Francji gdzie utworzono I Dywizję Grenadierów. W czerwcu 1940 roku w bitwie pod Lagarde formacja przestała istnieć i Towarnicki niestety trafił do obozu jenieckiego a następnie obozu koncentracyjnego w którym był uwięziony do 1945 roku. W 1947 roku rozpoczął pracę jako I flecista w Orkiestrze Polskiego Radia i Telewizji w Krakowie, gdzie koncertował do 1970 roku jako solista oraz kameralista a także dokonał licznych nagrań. Od 1947 roku był nauczycielem fletu w Państwowej Średniej Szkole Muzycznej im. W. Żeleńskiego w Krakowie.
Oprócz pracy jako muzyk i pedagog stworzył ważne podręczniki, które stanowiły w Polsce po II wojnie światowej przełom w nauczaniu gry na flecie: Szkoła na flet – tom I, II, III (1955-1962) oraz Studium techniki na małym flecie (1966). Dało to szansę uczącym się gry na poznanie ćwiczeń dawnych mistrzów oraz literatury dotąd niedostępnej lub całkiem nowej, skomponowanej przez współcześnie żyjących kompozytorów. Ostatnią publikacją była praca zbiorowa Flet od A do Z (1977).

Sebastian Łukaszewski

Solista orkiestry Teatru Wielkiego w Poznaniu, mający w swoim dorobku znaczącą ilość koncertów, przedstawień kameralnych oraz premier baletowych, operowych, operetkowych i musicalowych. Artysta ma na swoim koncie współpracę z Operą na Zamku w Szczecinie, Operą Wrocławską, Operą Nova, Filharmonią Poznańską, Warmińsko-Mazurską, Teatrem Muzycznym w Poznaniu. Występował w większości krajów europejskich z takimi tytułami jak m.in.: Der Rosenkavalier, Gala „Arena di Verona”, Verdi-Gala, Strauss-Gala, Verdi-Requiem, Tosca, La Boheme, Aida, Carmen, Nabucco, Hänsel und Gretel, Carmina Burana oraz wiele innych. Oprócz artystycznej pracy twórczej, flecista fascynuje się historią, architekturą i poszukiwaniami muzycznymi realizując pomysł napisania biografii znanego poznańskiego flecisty i pedagoga – prof. Augustyna Boczka.

Eugeniusz Michał Towarnicki

He was born on 4.01.1904 in Kolomya (territory of present-day Ukraine), died in Kraków on 19.03.1971. From 1917 to 1920, he was a student of the High School of Economics in Lviv. After graduating, he began studying at the Polish Music Society Conservatory in Lviv. He graduated in 1927 the class of A. Spata and St. Szera. In the same year, he studied supplementary studies with M. Moyse in Paris. Since 1928 he was the flutist of the Municipal Theatre Orchestra (Grand Theatre and Theatre of News) in Lviv. From 1933 to 1939 he ran a flute class at the Polish Music Society Conservatory. In 1938 he was appointed as flutist by the Polish Radio Orchestra in Lviv under the direction of T. Seredyński. In 1939, when the World War II broke out, he was called into the army, then evacuated to Romania from where he was sent to France in 1940, where the 1st Grenadier Division was formed. In June 1940, in the Battle of Lagarde, the formation ceased to exist and Towarnicki unfortunately went to the prisoner camp and then a concentration camp, where he had been imprisoned until 1945. In 1947 he began working as the Principal Flutist of the Polish Radio and Television Orchestra in Kraków, where he had played concerts until 1970, both as a soloist and a chamber musician and also made numerous recordings. As of 1947 he was also a flute teacher at the W. Żeleński State High School of Music in Kraków. In addition to working as a musician and educator, he created important flute handbooks, which represented a breakthrough in the teaching of flute playing in Poland after the World War II: School for flute – volumes I, II, III (1955-1962) and the Study of Technique on the Small Flute (1966). This gave all the flute students a unique opportunity to learn the exercises of the greatest masters and previously inaccessible or quite new repertoire – written by contemporary composers. The last publication was the collective work Flute from A to Z (1977).

Soloist of the Grand Theatre in Poznań Orchestra with significant number of concerts, chamber performances and premieres of ballet, opera, operetta and musical performances. The artist cooperates with the Opera at the Castle in Szczecin, the Wrocław Opera, the Nova Opera, the Poznań Philharmonic, Warmian-Masurian and the Musical Theatre in Poznań. He has performed in most European countries with titles such as e.g.: Der Rosenkavalier, Arena di Verona gala, Verdi-Gala, Strauss-Gala, Verdi-Requiem, Tosca, La Boheme, Aida, Carmen, Nabucco, Hänsel und Gretel, Carmina Burana and many others. In addition to his artistic creative work, the flutist is fascinated by history, architecture and music exploration, implementing the idea of writing a biography of a well-known Poznań flutist and educator – Prof. Augustyn Boczek.
