Within its framework, trainees become members of the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava and take a part in most of the orchestra performances – subscription concerts, touring projects both locally and internationally, recordings. Under the auspices of JPO principal players, academy members get to play a broad orchestral repertoire with the best Czech and international conductors and soloists. Academy members will also have an opportunity to perform a chamber concert together.

The minimum enrollment period is five months (half-season during either August – January or February-June), maximum Academy membership covers one full season (August – June).

The position is unpaid. Trainees shall be fully funded by their home University/Academy through the Erasmus+ programme (or similar programmes) designed for students´ mobility and professional practice.
